LA FRONTERA by director Iliana Sosa is a feature-length episode from the HBO series based on Lawrence Wright's acclaimed book GOD SAVE TEXAS. A tender, historical depiction of life along the Texas-Mexico border, the episode exposes limited definitions of Americanism and asks viewers to embrace the concept of in-betweenness. The doc trilogy premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and is nominated for a 2025 Cinema Eyes Honor for Best Anthology Series. It is available on HBO MAX.
My fifth project with filmmaker Tracy Droz Tragos, DO NO HARM is part of “Everybody’s Fight: An In Bloom Series on Reproductive Freedom” a film collection executive produced by Karlie Kloss and Phoebe Gates. It follows a group of America’s next generation of doctors whose access to proper and essential medical training is impacted by abortion restrictions. In banned states, these future providers are on the front lines of a humanitarian crisis.
My family’s nomadic lifestyles, refugee experiences, and journeys as war survivors spark my curiosity and imagination.
I have collaborated on award-winning motion picture features in fiction and non-fiction, shorts, and projects of all formats. These have screened at top film festivals worldwide, and are available to view on Hulu, Netflix, HBOMax, and more. I appreciate surreal storytelling. Magical moments when the crew family rallies together, commits, and chases that vision.
